Award Title

Amount for each award:
HK$5,000 x 2 (1^st prize)
HK$3,000 x 2 (2^nd prize)
HK$1,000 x 4 (3^rd prize)
Total: $20,000 (8 awards)
A university-wide English translation competition for the awards is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students of CityU. Interested translators are welcome to submit their entries according to one of two mutually exclusive categories, namely,
"LT Students" and "non-LT Students".
The poem for translation was by a Korean Confucian scholar of the 16th century, at the tender age of EIGHT (!)—and it goes:

《花石亭》
林亭秋已晚   騷客意無窮
遠岫連天碧   霜楓向日紅
山吐孤輪月   江含萬里風
塞鴻何處去   聲斷暮雲中

The Chinese slogan for English translation is 以譯抗疫. Up to six cash prizes of $1,000 each will be awarded for the best translated slogans.
This slogan translation competition is open to the translators of the poem only.
