Biography

I obtained my PhD degree in linguistics from The University of Chicago. Prior to my doctoral studies, I obtained my BA degree in Linguistics (First Class Honours) as well as Prize in Linguistics from the University of Hong Kong, and my MPhil degree in Linguistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. My research focuses on the grammar of Chinese languages, including the principles that underlie phrase formation and word formation, as well as the question of how form and meaning interact in the linguistic system, which ultimately sheds light on the nature of the human mind.
