SCHILLER, Niels O.
Niels Schiller received his MA from Trier University (Germany) in 1994. The same year, he started to carry out his PhD research at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. In 1997, he received his PhD in Psychology from the Radboud University in Nijmegen.
CHAN, Yuet Hung Cecilia
Dr. Chan holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. Her academic pursuits primarily focus on First and Second Language Acquisition, Sociolinguistics, and Applied Linguistics.
FANG, Chengyu Alex
Professor Alex Chengyu Fang PhD, FRSA received his PhD degree from University College London. He is Professor of Linguistics at the Department of Linguistics and Translation and Director of the Halliday Centre for Intelligent Applications of Language Studies.
KIT, Chunyu
Prof. Kit is a computational linguist currently teaching and researching in related fields in the Department of Linguistics and Translation. His research interests include computational linguistics, terminology, Chinese linguistics, psycholinguistics, poetry, and Chinese philosophy.
LIU, Meichun
Prof. Meichun Liu (劉美君教授) is a linguist and former Head of the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. She is also a fellow and executive committee member of Hong Kong Academy of Humanities.
LEE, Wai Sum Vanti
Prof. Wai-Sum Lee is Associate Professor and Phonetics Laboratory Coordinator of the Department of Linguistics and Translation at the City University of Hong Kong. Her field of specialization is phonetics and phonology. She has carried out research projects on acoustics, articulation, and perception of the sounds of the Chinese dialects, such as Cantonese, Beijing Mandarin, and Hakka.
LI, Bin
Prof. Li Bin received her Ph. D. in linguistics from the University of Florida and M.A. in applied linguistics from Beihang University. Prof. Li specializes in phonetics research and applications. She teaches undergraduate/postgraduate courses in linguistics and language studies.
YAN, Xiu Jackie
Jackie Xiu Yan received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. She is now Subject Leader of the MA Translation Program in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. Her research and teaching interests include interpreter and translator training, audio description, Chinese culture and translation, and Applied Linguistics.
CHAOUCH OROZCO, Adel
Dr Chaouch-Orozco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong, with an MA in Applied Linguistics from Jaen University, an MA in Psycholinguistics from the University of York, and a PhD in Psycholinguistics from the University of Reading.
LAI, Yan Ki Jackie
Jackie Yan-Ki Lai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. He obtained his PhD degree from The University of Chicago. He works on formal syntax and morphology.
LEWIS, Ashley
As a cognitive neuroscientist/psycholinguist I am fascinated by how the human brain supports our linguistic capacities. In my research I use electrophysiological methods to probe what the brain is doing while we are reading, listening, or speaking.
LI, Aini
Dr. Aini LI is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. As an experimental sociolinguist, she uses experimental and corpus approaches to examine how individuals produce and perceive socio-stylistic variation.
LI, Jixing
Jixing Li is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. She received her PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University in 2019 and completed her postdoctoral training at the Neuroscience of Language Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi.
