International Forum on Translation, Cognition and Audio Description & the 5th CATIC Conference
翻譯認知與口述影像國際論壇暨
第五屆中國翻譯認知研究會會議

The International Forum on Translation, Cognition and Audio Description (IFTCAD) & the 5th CATIC Conference was held from 15 March to 18 March 2019 at City University of Hong Kong. The conference, organized by the Department of Linguistics and Translation (LT), City University of Hong Kong and The China Association for Translation, Interpreting and Cognition(CATIC), aims to provide opportunities for interdisciplinary exchanges on studies related to Translation and Interpreting Studies, cognition and Audio Description. The Conference, featuring keynote speeches, panel presentations, roundtable discussion & panel chairs’ reports, was a great success.

The keynote speakers include Prof. CHANG Nam Fung (City University of Hong Kong), Dr. Louise FRYER (University College London), Prof. KANG Zhifeng (Fudan University), Prof. LI Defeng (University of Macau), Prof. LIU Minhua (Hong Kong Baptist University), Prof. PERNG Ching-Hsi (City University of Hong Kong), Prof. Jonathan WEBSTER (City University of Hong Kong), Dr. Jackie Xiu YAN (City University of Hong Kong), Prof. ZHAN Cheng (Sun Yat-sen University), and Prof. ZHU Chunshen (The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen).

In the opening session, Prof Dennis Wong (Associate Dean, CLASS), Dr Jackie Yan (on behalf of Prof Liu Meichun (Head, LT) and the Organizing Committee) and Prof Kang Zhifeng (on behalf of CATIC) delivered the welcoming speeches. Around 35 LT graduate and undergraduate students participated in the organizing tasks. LT General Office colleagues, learners from the International Chinese Language Salon (ICLS) and the Audio Description project team also provided services for the conference.

2019 年 3月15日至18日，翻譯認知與口述影像國際論壇暨第五屆中國翻譯認知研究會會議在香港城市大學召開。本次會議由香港城市大學翻譯及語言學系與中國翻譯認知研究會聯合舉辦，為翻譯、口譯、認知及口述影像領域的專家學者提供了學術交流的平台。會議十分成功，形式包括主旨演講、平行論壇，圓桌討論及分論壇主席總結報告等。

主旨演講嘉賓包括张南峰教授（香港城市大學），Louise FRYER博士（倫敦大學學院），康志峰教授（復旦大學），李德鳳教授（澳門大學），劉敏華教授（香港浸會大學），彭鏡禧教授（香港城市大學），衛真道教授（香港城市大學），鄢秀博士（香港城市大學），詹成教授（中山大學），朱純深教授（香港中文大學（深圳））。

黃成榮教授（人文社會科學院副院長）、鄢秀博士（代表劉美君教授（翻譯及語言學系系主任）及大會組委會）、康志峰教授（代表中國翻譯認知研究會）在開幕式致辭。約 35名翻譯及語言學系研究生及本科生參與了大會的組織工作，系辦公室同事，國際漢語沙龍的學員及口述影像研究團隊亦為本次會議提供了服務。
