LT CityUHK (Department of Linguistics and Translation, City University of Hong Kong) will host a culinary culture workshop on June 1–2, titled "New Approaches to Traditional Chinese Food Studies: Translating Culinary Traditions"

Location: Room LI-3505, LI-Building, City University of Hong Kong
Centered on the translation of traditional Chinese culinary culture, the workshop will explore the interpretation, reimagining, and innovation of Chinese food and drink across interdisciplinary, cross-cultural, and multimodal contexts through perspectives in literature, history, archaeology, art, accessibility, and artificial intelligence. It aims to deepen global scholarly understanding and exchange regarding traditional Chinese culture, promote systematic research on Chinese culinary heritage worldwide, and provide theoretical foundations and practical insights for preserving and disseminating food cultural heritage in contemporary society.
