LEE, John Sie Yuen
Biography
John S. Y. Lee is Associate Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His research interest is in natural language processing and its applications in computer-assisted language learning. His recent research projects include automatic multiple-choice question generation for reading comprehension; automatic assessment of text difficulty; writing assistance tools for English as a foreign language; corpus-driven learning of Chinese as a foreign language; and Cantonese-Mandarin parallel treebank development.
