Students of 2022 entry and thereafter admitted to the normative 4-year degree curriculum are required to complete satisfactorily the two department foundation-year courses during the first year of study.
Advanced Standing I students of 2022 entry and thereafter are only required to complete LT2207 satisfactorily during the first year of study.

The following courses are compulsory for students of Normative 4-year degree students. Advanced Standing I (ASI) students and students with a second major/changed to LLA major (only applicable to normative 4-year degree students and ASI students) will be required to take one designated department foundation year course, i.e. LT2207 (3 credit units). Students of 2021 entry or before transferred from TI major who have completed the department foundation year courses can be exempted to take LT2207.
