Linguistics Fun Days 2007

Organized by Dr Zhang Wei and Dr Li Bin of the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics, and commissioned by the Support Measures for the Exceptionally Gifted Students Scheme of the Education Bureau, the "Linguistics Fun Days 2007" is a 3-day program offered to secondary school students who are student members on the Support Measures for the Exceptionally Gifted Students Scheme. The program aims to provide an opportunity for students to explore their interest in the study of language and to enhance their awareness of the importance of language and its role in the contemporary world. The program runs from July 30 to Aug 1 and features a series of lectures and class activities appropriate to the needs and attributes of the gifted student participants.
