Abstract
The Oxford Centre for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language has been developing multimedia and internet-assisted language teaching systems over the last ten years. During this time we have observed a growing acceptance of technological advance in higher education. I hope to outline the role of computer-assisted learning in language teaching today by describing the following aspects of our current language programmes.
Speaker
Mr. Shio-yun Kanis Programme Director of the Centre for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Institute for Chinese Studies, Oxford; Senior Instructor, University of Oxford; Lecturer in Chinese, Wadham College, Oxford; and Language Coordinator of British Inter-unversity China Centre.
