Discovery Enriched Summer Programme in Global Chinese Language Education

Objectives
The objectives of the proposed Summer Programme/ DimSum Project are to:
- enrich students with the knowledge relating to Global Chinese Language Education;
- develop their interest and ability in teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL) for further studies or potential career;
- enhance their communication skills in Putonghua.
Activities:
- Lectures/Seminars on Global Chinese education
- Observation of /Participation in language classes for foreigners learning Chinese
- Visits to the language education organizations
- Cultural Tours to investigate traditional and modern Chinese culture in relation to language use in Shanghai
- Sharing sessions with local students
Target Participants:
Year 2 to Year 4 full-time undergraduate students with the major study in Linguistics and Language Applications/Linguistics & Language Technology
Duration:

Fee:
HK$3,900 (including air ticket, accommodation, learning courses, and local tours)
(HK$5,900 sponsorship)
