We are glad to announce that two eminent scholars have joined the Department this month: Prof. WU Hung I, Chair Professor of Chinese, joined the Department on 1 August 2003. Prof. WU who was previously a Chair Professor in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, specializes in Chinese Literature, Chinese Language and Chinese History. Dr. LUNG Ying-tai, previously a Director of the Cultural Affairs of the Taipei City Government, Taiwan, joined the Department on 21 August 2003.
